Leads the Way in Human Rights Education
In the past month, our Slovak partner, Spojená škola Kollárova, carried out a successful pilot implementation of two educational modules addressing key social themes. Students took part in the sessions, engaging with the content through interactive and reflective learning experiences. The sessions were designed not just to inform, but to inspire empathy and critical reflection on real-life issues affecting individuals and communities.
During the pilot, students delved into their personal and collective rights, analyzed real-world examples and current news items, and worked together to unpack complex case studies. These activities created space for open dialogue, where participants were encouraged to share perspectives and develop creative solutions to the social challenges discussed.
By incorporating non formal education methods, the piloting fostered a lively and inclusive atmosphere. Students were encouraged to ask questions, contribute their thoughts, and think beyond the classroom. This approach helped nurture a strong sense of civic awareness and responsibility among the group.
Feedback from the students was positive. Many expressed newfound motivation to continue exploring the topics introduced and to apply what they learned in their everyday lives. The experience underscored the importance of education that prioritizes inclusivity, relevance, and critical engagement.
Thanks to the commitment and expertise of the team at Spojená škola Kollárova, the pilot implementation achieved its goals and left a meaningful impact on everyone involved.
