On May 9, we celebrate Europe Day – a powerful reminder of unity, peace, and shared values across our continent.
This year, we’re proud to link this celebration to our Empower2Act project, which gives young people the tools and knowledge to defend human rights and become active European citizens.
Let’s inspire the next generation to speak up, take action, and shape the future of a fair and inclusive Europe.
Let’s celebrate peace and unity in Europe — and remind ourselves the core values that the European Union stands for: democracy, solidarity, freedom, and human rights.
In 2025, these values feel more relevant than ever. As the world faces complex challenges — from digital threats to social inequalities and climate change — empowering young people to take a stand for human rights is essential.
This is the driving force behind the Empower2Act project, an Erasmus+ initiative that brings together schools from across Europe to educate and inspire students to become defenders of human rights. Through innovative learning methods, awareness campaigns, and hands-on activities, students learn not only about their rights — but also how to protect the rights of others.
On this Europe Day, we celebrate not only the past achievements of European cooperation, but also the rising voices of a new generation — young Europeans who are ready to act, to lead, and to create positive change in their communities.
Let’s honour the spirit of Europe by continuing to build inclusive, just, and democratic societies — one student, one school, and one act at a time.
